I am so excited to be able to participate in a fun service project for Christmas as a result of a few talented youtube video crafters who have organized this touching and sweet service project. They are collecting handmade faux "sweet" ornaments, i.e. donuts, suckers, cakes, pies, candies, etc. to add to a large Christmas tree at the Ronald McDonald House in Florida. One of these collaborators is "Designed to the Nines" and "Lisa Burningham" who have their own Youtube channels. I want to share some pictures of the two faux cake ornaments I have made for the tree. My son is making a large sucker, but hasn't finished yet. We made these ornaments out of foam circles from Dollar Tree, piped with DAP spackling, and embellished with glitter and small decorative elements I had in my craft stash. I can't wait to send them as additions to the awesome tree they are going to create!
